Ale Trail

Ale Trail CoverThe winners of this year's Ale Trail prizes are as follows.

This year's Reading and Mid Berkshire Ale Trail was launched on 16 February at the Bird in Hand, Knowl Hill. 24 pubs took part - see the list below.

The idea was to visit as many of the pubs as possible over a two month period, drink a pint or a half of real ale in each and collect a sticker. Put the stickers on your leaflet, so that it got gradually more colourful over time. Then send it in to claim your reward. The prizes were:

Complete 12 pubs to win a ticket to the Reading Beer and Cider Festival.

Complete 18 pubs to win a Festival season ticket (admission all days).

Complete all 24 pubs to win a Festival season ticket AND entry into a free prize draw. Prizes are:
1st: 2 first prizes of a polypin (36 pints) of real ale.
2nd: A selection of 12 bottle-conditioned real ales.
3rd: A selection of 6 bottle-conditioned real ales.

The polypins were kindly supplied by Loddon Brewery and West Berkshire Brewery. Bottles were kindly supplied by Westholme Stores of Goring on Thames. Many thanks to all the sponsors of the Ale Trail.
