Cider & Perry National Champion Awards Phil Gill

Presentation of awards to the champions from the Reading Beer Festival.

<p>This year the Reading Beer Festival was pleased to host CAMRA's Cider and Perry National Champion Awards.Those who enjoyed the judging (and the drinking!) may be interested to know that CAMRA will be presenting three producers with their awards at the Chapter Arts Centre, Market Road,Canton, Cardiff on Saturday 10th July, starting at 2pm.</p><p>Awards will be presented to the following producers.</p><p><b>National Gold Champion Cider</b><br/>Gwynt y Ddraig Medium made by Andrew Gronow(Vale of Glamorgan)<br/><b>National Gold Champion Perry</b><br/>Gwatkin Blakeney Redmade by Denis Gwatkin (Herefordshire)<br/><b>National Bronze Champion Perry</b><br/>Butford Farm Dry made by Martin Harris (Herefordshire)</p><p>Gwynt Y Ddraig is the first ever Welsh winner of the National gold award.Gillian Williams, CAMRA's Director of Cider and Perry Campaigning, said, "Wewere delighted that Andrew Gronow has won this year's national award forGwynt Y Ddraig. The Festival features 22different types, including the three national award winners.
