A change of ownership in 2007 transformed this pub from an unspectacular local boozer with no real ale into a Real Ale destination venue ? and local CAMRA Pub of the Year 2009! 12 handpumps provide a varied selection of beers ? mild to the right, rising in gravity to stouts and strong beers on the left. There is a roaring fire when appropriate. Darts and an assortment of table games are available. Occasional live music. Food is simple and wholesome.
