Thursday 5th October 2017

October is CAMRA's (the Campaign for Real Ale) National Cider and Perry Month and to celebrate, some CAMRA festivals are giving the spotlight to cider & perry!

The cider-oriented month kicks off with the Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival, 12th – 15th October, where the East Midlands Regional round of our National Cider and Perry Championships will be taking place. During the festival there will be more than 240 varieties of cider and perry and dedicated cider bars from the East Midlands and Wales for festival goers to enjoy.

Then from the 13th – 15th of October we head over to the first Scarborough Real Ale, Cider & Arts Festival taking place at the Old Parcel Office in Scarborough Station. The festival will take place in conjunction with the Campaign for Real Art and will feature more than 60 different ciders, perries and real ales.

From the 19th of October Sheffield Beer and Cider Festival will be hosted in the Kelham Island Museum. This historic building stands on a man made island in the heart of Sheffield. The festival will be spread around the museum including the upper gallery and a marquee outside.

It's followed by the Norwich Beer Festival, 24th – 29th of October, taking place in St. Andrew's and Blackfriars' Halls. This is where the East Anglia Regional round of our National Cider and Perry Championships takes place. There will be more than 70 East Anglian ciders and perries available.

And ending the month of cider-oriented festivals is the Birmingham Beer and Cider Festival, kicking off on Thursday 27th of October. With more than 70 ciders available during the festival, this is a great way to kick off your Halloween weekend.
