Well-kept pub close to Caversham centre which became part of the Brakspear estate back in 1896. The 'Prince' has a large main bar with BT Sports TV screen. Also two smaller side bars used for pool and darts. Real fire by the bar in winter and a heated recently refurbished side patio area. As well as outdoor covered seating in front of pub, the Prince has a "secret" raised grassed garden. ideal for sunny summer evenings, reached by stairs from rear of bar. Two regular beers plus good selection of British and foreign bottled beers. Has popular regular events including live music and charity community events. Nearest bus is the 25 Peppard Common route whch stops close by in Prospect Street.

Reduced Mon-Thurs lunchtime opening hours from mid-Feb 2017. Though landlord says lunchtime opening could be reintroduced with better weather after Easter.
